Dunleer and its surrounding Mid Louth area has a long tradition of vibrant community groups, clubs, societies and residents/parents association.
Reflecting this strength, in 2001 a cross section of community groups and individual activists came together.
These people formed the community umbrella body The Dunleer Community Development Board (DCDB). It is this body, the DCDB, that has restored and reopened The Market House Dunleer for the use and enjoyment of the community.
